◈ Why The brain locks onto a structure it can predict — five days, one payoff each — and the rule of threes triples the fashion info per frame. That's a reason to stay inside the first two seconds: the exact window the algorithm is measuring.

“First jump cut at 0:02. The background flips at 0:04 and 0:10. Every cut lands on a lyric naming the day — the edit and the song are one machine.”

◈ Why A visual change resets attention, and cutting on a song the viewer already knows adds prediction–reward: you expect 'Tuesday', the screen delivers it, you get a tiny dopamine hit. The drop-off curve flattens right where most viewers leave.

◈ Why Subverting your own pattern is the cheapest surprise in content — and surprise is what gets sent to friends. 44,500 shares on a 14-second video came from that wink, not the outfits.
