6 Best Viralo Alternatives in 2026 (Free & Paid)
Six real Viralo alternatives, free and paid, compared on price, platforms, and whether the next video gets a date and a script. Checked 26 September 2026.
A pre-publish review tells you what is wrong with the video you already made. It does not tell you which video you are making next week, or whether anyone is making it at all. For a creator posting three times a week, that second question decides more of the month than any single score.
Here is the short answer. If you want what Viralo does for less money or for nothing, PreAlgo and Augur let you start free, and Metricool and Viraly give you a genuinely free scheduler. If you want the read on a video to turn into a dated plan, a script and a finished cut, you need a tool with a planning surface, and only some of the six below have one.
We build one of these tools, so treat our description as interested and every fact on the page as checkable. Everything here was read from each vendor’s own public pages on 26 September 2026. Prices move, so check before you buy.
What Viralo actually does well
Credit first. We read Viralo’s own site and pricing page today. It works across YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels, and it is built around four modules: a video analyzer that scores hook, pacing, script structure and more than fifteen retention signals, a script engine where you pick tone, length and style, a pre-publish review that flags weak spots before you post, and a creator feed that monitors channels you choose.
The pricing is some of the most accessible in the category. Free is $0 a month for two video analyses and one full breakdown, with no card. Creator is $9 a month (30 analyses, 10 pre-publish reviews, 10 scripts, three feed channels). Pro is $22 (100 analyses, 50 reviews, 30 scripts, 10 channels). Agency is $59 (500 analyses, 200 reviews, 100 scripts, 50 channels, bulk operations). Paid plans include script export and history, and every plan carries a 7-day money-back guarantee.
What Viralo does not advertise is anything that puts the next video on a date. No content calendar, no scheduling, no reminders, and no board that carries a piece from script to finished cut. That is a scope choice, not a flaw: Viralo is a very good place to check a draft. We compared it with Blossom on other axes before, the tactics inside a video in our Viralo alternative and named format classes in Blossom vs Viralo. This page is about the planning gap.
Why the plan is where analysis pays off
Analysis produces insight in a single sitting. You learn the hook lands late, the middle sags, the format that works in your niche is a two-beat reveal. Then the tab closes, and the next time you sit down to film, you are starting from memory.
That is the most common way good analysis goes to waste. An insight only compounds once it becomes a dated idea, then a script, then footage, then a cut, and every handoff is a place for it to die. We wrote about the version that survives a real week in the content calendar that survives, and about checking whether the plan actually shipped in the thirty-minute monthly audit.
So we ranked the six below on two questions: what does it do instead of Viralo, and is there somewhere for the next video to live once you decide to make it?
The six alternatives
1. Blossom, if you want the analysis and the plan in one place
This is ours. Blossom analyzes any public Instagram or TikTok video, your own or anyone else’s, and tells you what it is doing: the named format, a hook score from 1 to 10 with the reasoning, a timestamped map of where attention builds and drops, and the techniques it uses. That overlaps with Viralo’s analyzer. The difference this post is about is what happens after.
- The calendar is on every plan. Ideas sit on specific days before anything is filmed. Each item moves from idea to ready to published, with an archive exit so a dropped concept still leaves a trace. Two reminders fire before each planned item, one the day before and one a few hours ahead, and any item can be sent to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.
- The idea and its script stay linked. From Creator upward, a calendar idea can become a script written from videos that already worked in your niche, and the item shows which script belongs to it. On Pro, an idea can also be scored before it costs you a shoot.
- A production board on Agency. Columns run from script through raw material, edit and review to done, each owned by a craft role, so the strategist, the creator and the editor look at the same card from their own end. Every delivered cut is kept as a numbered version.
Here is what that looks like on our own board today, pulled live rather than mocked up. Thirteen cards. Four are done, seven are in review, two are still at script. The longest-running finished card holds three references, two raw files and nine delivered cuts, and the ninth is the one that shipped. Most of the cards in review hold a single raw file and no cut yet, which tells us exactly where the week is stuck: editing, not ideas. A per-video score cannot show that, because it only ever sees one video at a time.
Our three honest gaps apply here, and the first two matter against Viralo in particular. There is no free tier, and the 7-day trial asks for a card, while Viralo starts at $0. There is no YouTube Shorts, only Instagram and TikTok, while Viralo covers all three. And Blossom writes scripts and organizes the footage you shoot; it does not generate footage. Our entry plan is also a little more expensive: Starter is $9.99 a month against Viralo’s $9 Creator.
2. PreAlgo, if you want a pre-post score at the lowest entry
PreAlgo is the closest to Viralo’s pre-publish review. It advertises a predicted view range and viral probability, a retention forecast with dropout points, and prioritized fixes to hook, pacing, call to action and structure, across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. The free plan gives one analysis a month with no card, then Creator is $9.99 (15 analyses), Pro $24.99 (50) and Agency $79.99 (200).
If what you liked about Viralo was checking a draft before posting, PreAlgo does that job with a strong focus on retention. A content calendar, scheduling or script generation is not advertised.
3. Augur, if you want niche monitoring with a free start
If the part of Viralo you used most was the creator feed, Augur goes further in that direction. It advertises custom Niche Hubs monitored across TikTok, Reels and Shorts, an outlier tracker for any creator, on-demand topic search, trend alerts, Meta ads intelligence, and exports to Excel, CSV, JSON or PDF. A Content Studio for scripts and a media generation tool are both marked as coming soon.
The free trial is 100 one-time credits and one active niche, no card. Paid tiers are $19 a month as an early-bird price for the Starter tier (normally $29, 1,000 credits and 10 niches) and $59 for Pro (5,000 credits and 50 niches). A content calendar or planning surface is not advertised.
4. Metricool, if you want a free planner that publishes
Metricool is a scheduling and analytics suite, and of everything here it has the most mature calendar for getting posts out the door. The free plan covers one brand, up to 20 scheduled posts a month, five competitor profiles, 30 days of analytics, an AI assistant and an MCP connection. Starter runs from $20 a month for five brands with unlimited publishing and 100 competitor profiles, and Advanced from $53 a month adds team and client management, a post approval system and API access.
If your real gap was “I never actually schedule anything”, Metricool fixes it for free. What it does not advertise is a per-video breakdown of why a video worked, or a script written from that evidence.
5. Viraly, if you want a generous free scheduler with idea boards
Viraly is a social media management suite. The free plan, with no card, includes three social profiles, scheduling to 11 platforms, a link in bio, two weeks of analytics, content recycling and an MCP server. Paid plans run $19 Influencer, $49 Business, $99 Agency and $249 Enterprise a month, and the pricing page mentions idea boards in kanban columns. Agency adds a public REST API.
For planning and publishing across many networks at no cost, it is one of the most generous options we found. Per-video analysis and hook scoring are not advertised.
6. Vervox, if you want scripts, carousels and cross-posting in one bundle
Vervox bundles scripts, content ideas, carousels, an AI editing studio, video and competitor analysis, account audits and publishing, with “cross-post everywhere, automatically” listed on all three plans. Creator is $23 a month (80 credits), Pro $47 (250) and Business $99 (550), with up to 41% off yearly. The pricing page now states there is no free plan.
It is the closest thing here to an all-in-one creation suite with publishing. A dedicated content calendar is not named on its pricing page, so check the product before you buy if dated planning is the reason you are switching.

Look at the rows we lose. Viralo, PreAlgo, Augur, Metricool and Viraly all let you start at zero, and four of them cover YouTube Shorts, which we do not. If your budget this month is nothing, those are the honest answers and we are not.
Picking by what you actually do
- You want a cheap per-video read and a pre-publish check. Stay on Viralo. At $9 a month it is hard to beat, and nothing here is meaningfully cheaper for the same job.
- You want the strictest pre-post retention forecast. PreAlgo.
- You mainly watch a niche for outliers, including YouTube Shorts. Augur.
- You need to schedule and publish your own posts, for free. Metricool or Viraly.
- You want scripts, carousels and cross-posting in one paid bundle. Vervox.
- You want to know why a video worked, put your version of it on a date, script it from real evidence and move it through edit and review with a team. That is the case we make for ourselves.
Can you use Viralo and Blossom together?
Yes. Some creators will prefer Viralo’s pre-publish review on a finished draft, especially for YouTube Shorts, which we do not cover. Blossom’s part is upstream and downstream of that moment: which format to plan around, which day it goes on, and whether the cut actually shipped. They do not have to compete for the same slot.
A last honest note
Analysis tools answer “is this video good”. Planning tools answer “what am I making, and when”. Most creators need both, and the mistake is expecting a sharper score to fix a planning problem. If your drafts keep improving and your posting rhythm does not, the missing piece is not another analysis.
For the wider view of the category, including the rows where we lose, read our honest comparison of viral video analysis tools. Plan limits are in full in our FAQ.
If planning is the question you actually have, the 7-day trial at signup is the quickest way to test it. Analyze one video from your niche, put your version on next week’s calendar, and see whether it ships. It does ask for a card.
